About Rebecca A. Morgan:

Rebecca A. Morgan, President of Fulcrum ConsultingWorks Inc., is a manufacturing strategy consultant skilled at clarifying complex ideas, finding creative solutions to problems, and developing and leveraging operational strengths. She works with manufacturers to develop and execute an operations strategy - one that enables them to leverage resources to deliver profitable competitive advantage to their markets.

Her ability to work as effectively with off-shift workers as with owners and C-level executives and her 30 years professional experience combine to support both strategic vision and daily execution.

Morgan’s thirty years experience spans Operations, Supply Chain Management, Accounting Systems, Information Systems, Strategic Planning, Consulting and Academe. She has been directly responsible for cost and revenue centers in single and multi-plant situations.

She not only helps others do it; she’s done it herself.

As a member of the management team Morgan led and coordinated operations support to Stouffer Foods’ introduction of the wildly successful Lean Cuisine brand (demand exceeded forecast by an order of magnitude; that strong market response also accelerated rollout plans).

Following that Morgan helped prepare TRW’s then $300MM Casting Division for sale and then played a key role for Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC) in the turnaround of that acquisition.

Before that, as bank economist for Cleveland Trust (since acquired by Key Bank), she stood with a very small group who forecast the 20% prime interest rate that few thought could happen, but soon did.

Fresh out of graduate school Morgan was recruited by Perdue Farms to lead development and implementation of a decision support process that enabled the company to continually minimize feed costs in the highly variable commodities market while meeting all nutritional requirements of the birds. During that same time she was an adjunct assistant professor of Economics at Salisbury State University.

She’s not only done it herself, she’s helped others do it.

Following those successes, Morgan founded Fulcrum ConsultingWorks, Inc., her manufacturing operations consulting business, which she has owned and operated since 1990. She has delivered targeted outcomes working with both small privately held firms and large corporations. Her clients include recognizable names like Avery-Dennison and Moen, and numerous less well known companies like Ashtabula Rubber, Zircoa, and Kinetico.

Ms. Morgan has BA and MS degrees in Economics and completed post-graduate work in Business Administration. She is Board Approved in Operations Management by the Society for Advancement of Consulting and is certified as a Fellow by The Association for Operations Management (APICS). She is also one of the few authorized facilitators nationwide to deliver the joint AME/SME/Shingo Lean Certification Review Program.

Contributing generously of her time to professional organizations, Morgan has chaired and served on numerous national committees for APICS. She currently serves on the APICS CPIM Strategic Management of Resources committee, while serving as Regional President for the Great Lakes Region of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and Vice-Chair of the Entrepreneurs Association. She is also an active member of other associations.

Highly respected business journal INC Magazine selected Morgan as its Operations Expert, a role she has fulfilled for several years. In addition, her expertise has been tapped by numerous other well known national and industry publications, including Fortune Magazine, Business Week, Dow-Jones Newswires, and Industry Week, on topics ranging from Lean Manufacturing to Steel Tariffs to B2B relationships.
