Credentials
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism / English, Dedie Leahy served in executive positions in New York City and Dallas/Fort Worth before opening her Dallas-based company.

Dedie's work has merited industry awards in public relations, advertising and television production. Cause marketing special events that raise significant funds for charities and establish strong positioning and branding for clients to increase sales, are a proven specialty of Dedie Leahy & Company.

For example, the "Palm Night" event, which Dedie conceptualized and created to celebrate the Dallas Palm restaurant's 10th anniversary, was so successful that it became an annual event raising approximately $4.5 million for victims of domestic violence in 12 years thus far. Subsequently, she created and produced "Palm Nights" in Charlotte, N.C; Tysons Corner, V.A. and Washington, DC as well. Other exemplary events include the USA Film Festival Award and Gala honoring Robert Duvall and the Trinity River Arts Center opening event with Angie Harmon and Janine Turner.

Dedie has served in volunteer capacities for numerous non-profit organizations from St. Anthony School, Old City Park, The Chance Center and Girls Inc. to The Cattle Baron's Ball and The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League. She attends St. Thomas Aquinas Church, is a member of the Serra Club and the Turtle Creek Association, Friends of Arlington Hall and serves on the board of the USA Film Festival.
